Kickstarter is gaining momentum and I think it has a lot to do with the simplicity of the experience from both sides; people looking to pledge even a small amount of money as well as the creatives promoting their projects.

I just posted my first digital arts project called "Organic Industry" and I am excited to watch it spark to life over the next couple of months.

I think there is a big opportunity for fundraising by charities on the net. There is this mass of people, who are used to pay online with credit cards. No hassle, you don't see the money. And there is relatively few charities using this in a creative way. My favorite is the Oxfam site where you can support people doing (stupid) stuff while fundraising. Marketing and charities...
