Field study to assess feasibility of drones in small-holder farming

While agricultural drones are a proven and broadly applied technology in developed economies, with large scale monocultural farming, their application in smallholder developing country contexts have never gotten beyond limited trials. This project was an early exploration into exactly that - how could we provide feasible agricultural drone services to smallholder rice farmers in rural Myanmar.

The project involved study planning, gear procurement, pilot training, service and operations design and prototyping, field test area mapping and data collection, interviews, sense-making, the works.
